Shipping & duties
Before you order
Why might my order arrive in two parcels?
Some pieces sit in our New Jersey warehouse; others are printed or woven to order in India. At checkout you choose: ship each part as soon as it's ready, or hold everything and deliver it together. The bag shows the dates and shipping cost for both.
Will I pay import duties on delivery?
Not on retail orders to the US, UK, EU, Canada or Australia. Duties and import taxes are included in the price you see and we clear customs for you. Trade orders on FOB or CIF terms are cleared by the buyer; choose DDP if you want us to handle it.
How long does made-to-order take?
Each product lists its production time, usually 10–35 days, plus 6–9 business days for air freight. Block printing and natural dyeing depend on dry weather, so monsoon months (July–September) can add a week.
How do I pay?
While we're in early access, we confirm every order by hand. After you request an order, we check stock and email a secure card payment link in US dollars. Nothing ships until you pay, and you can cancel before paying.
Returns
Unused retail pieces from US stock can be returned within 30 days. Made-to-order pieces can be returned if faulty. Opened food, tea and wellness products can't be returned. Small irregularities in print and weave are part of handmade goods, not a defect.
Can you ship spices, tea and wellness products?
Yes. Food products are packed in FSSAI-licensed facilities registered with the US FDA, and every food shipment is filed with FDA Prior Notice. Face oils are sold as cosmetics, with ingredient labels and no medical claims.
What does the GI label mean?
A Geographical Indication is a registration under India's GI Act that ties a product name, such as Darjeeling tea, Malabar pepper or Pochampally Ikat, to its region of origin. We use the label only for products made in that region.
